JOE ROBACH HONORS LIBRARIES AND THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO COMMUNITY EDUCATION

In June, Senator Joe Robach attended the Rochester Regional Library Council’s Annual meeting to pay tribute to some of Rochester’s best libraries and the many contributions that they have made to public education.    At the meeting, RRLC honored its three Library of the Year award winners.  The libraries were nominated by their users, and the final decision was made by an independent panel of judges.

Joe Robach presented resolutions to the two winning libraries from his Senate District.  They were:

  • Brighton Memorial Library was the winner in the public library category. Library executive director Jennifer Ries-Taggart and her staff were on hand to receive their award.  Joe Robach presented a resolution to Brighton.
  • The Autumn Lane Elementary School Library was the winner in the school library category. Librarian Kate Boggs attended, along with her library colleagues.

Joe Robach knows firsthand the importance of libraries to the Rochester community and to public education.  Senator Robach knows that they are an integral tool for lifelong education and learning.
