Senator Joe Robach is proud to support the release of a new website designed to make it easier for students interested in obtaining an internship with any New York State government agency. Joe Robach understands how important internships are in enhancing one’s education.
As part of the New New York Leaders program, internship opportunities at all state agencies will be centralized at one website. In an effort to make it a one-stop shop for any student interested in an internship with a New York State agency, there will be links to opportunities with the NYS Senate, Assembly, Attorney General and Comptroller’s Office.
Students can visit http://www.nysinternships.com and apply directly to over 450 internships at state agencies or link to opportunities in other entities or branches of state government. The program is open to resident graduate and undergraduate students as well as students who obtain their education at schools in other states, but reside in New York. Opportunities include both paid and unpaid positions. Internships may include academic credit depending on the policy of the educational institution.
“This all in one website is a great tool to help the young people of NYS to obtain an internship in their field of choice and will allow them to gain real world experience,” says Senator Joe Robach. “The experience they will obtain during an internship will help make them become more competitive and marketable in the ever changing job market and enhance their overall education.”
